Whisper vsNotta
Looking for a Notta alternative? Whisper offers the same transcription quality but 100% offline, completely private, and without monthly fees.
Blazing fast — and 100% on your device
Whisper's engine is GPU-accelerated (Metal on Mac, Vulkan on Windows and Linux). On Apple Silicon it transcribes about an hour of audio in a minute, and short dictation is on screen the moment you stop talking — punctuation and capitalization included.
All of it runs locally, so your voice never leaves your machine — and it keeps working with the Wi-Fi off.
