Introduction
Vantar Group LLC ("we", "our", or "us"), a Wyoming limited liability company, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our voice transcription application Whisper ("Whisper" or the "App"). We built Whisper with privacy as a core principle - your voice data is processed entirely on your device and never uploaded to our servers.
Data Processing
Audio Recordings
When you record audio for transcription, the audio is processed entirely on your device using our on-device AI model. Audio data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. Audio files are stored locally on your device and you have full control to delete them at any time.
Transcriptions
Transcribed text is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your transcriptions. You can view, copy, share, or delete your transcriptions at any time within the app.
Keyboard Input
The Whisper Keyboard processes voice input on-device. We do not log, store, or transmit any text you type or dictate through the keyboard. Your keyboard input remains completely private.
Subscriptions & Payments
Whisper offers optional premium subscriptions. All payment processing is handled securely by:
- Google Play for Android devices
- Apple App Store for iOS devices
We do not directly collect or store your payment information. Subscription status is verified through the respective app stores. We use RevenueCat as our subscription management platform, which receives anonymized subscription status information from the app stores.
What We Don't Collect

Data Deletion
Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it:
- Delete individual transcriptions within the app
- Clear all app data through your device settings
- Uninstall the app to remove all associated data

App Permissions
Microphone
Required to record audio for transcription. Audio is processed on-device only.
Storage (Android)
Required to save transcriptions locally on your device.
Internet
Required only for initial AI model download and subscription verification. Not used for uploading your data.
Children's Privacy
Whisper is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
