How team licensing works
1. Buy for N devices
Checkout asks for your company name and VAT ID and emails the invoice.
2. Share one key
You get one license key. Each person enters it when they first open Whisper.
3. Manage devices
See every activated device in your account. Remove one to free its place.
4. Renews once a year
The license renews automatically each year at the same price per device. We email you 7 days before, and you can turn renewal off any time. The key stays the same.

Why offline matters for client and patient files
Lawyers, doctors and agencies dictate things that must stay confidential. With Whisper, the recording does not go to a vendor's server.
- Speech is turned into text on the device. The speech model is downloaded once and runs on the computer.
- Audio is not uploaded. Whisper has no server that receives recordings or transcripts.
- No user accounts in the app. Each person enters the team license key once.
- The app only connects to our server to download models, check the license key and look for updates. If it cannot reach the server, dictation keeps working.
- Optional AI text cleanup is off by default. If someone turns it on with a cloud provider, the text, not the audio, goes to that provider.
Good to know before you buy
- No admin console and no SSO. Devices are managed in your account on this website.
- One shared key for the team, not one key per person.
- No SOC 2 report or HIPAA certification. The design keeps the data on the device instead.
- macOS needs Apple Silicon. Windows 10 and 11 and Linux (Ubuntu 22.04+) are supported.

Team license questions
Who manages the license?+
The person who buys. They sign in to the account page with the purchase email and see every activated device, the end date and the invoices. They can remove devices, add devices and renew there. There is no separate admin console.
Can we add devices later?+
Yes. Add devices from your account at $29 each. They run until your license's current end date, and the key stays the same.
How do we move a device to a new computer?+
Remove the old computer in your account. Its place is free at once, and the new computer activates with the same key. The same works when someone leaves the team.
How does renewal work?+
One payment covers 12 months. New team licenses renew automatically at the end of each year, at the same price per device, and keep the same key on every device. We email you 7 days before each renewal, and you can turn auto-renew off any time in your account, at get-whisper.com/cancel or by replying to any email. Prefer to decide each year? Choose "Pay for 1 year only" at checkout: we then email you 30 days before the end and you renew by hand. Licenses bought before 27 October 2026 do not renew automatically. After the first year you can cancel any time. Your license then runs one more month and we refund the unused months. Without renewal, Whisper stops working at the end date.
Can we pay by invoice or bank transfer?+
Yes. Card checkout asks for your company name, billing address and VAT ID and emails an invoice. To pay by bank transfer or with a purchase order, email hello@get-whisper.com or use the form on this page.
Does any audio leave our computers?+
No. Transcription runs on each device. The app checks the license key with our server, downloads speech models and looks for updates. Optional AI text cleanup can use a cloud provider, but only if someone turns it on.
