How team licensing works
1. Buy for N devices
Checkout asks for your company name and VAT ID and emails the invoice.
2. Share one key
You get one license key. Each person enters it when they first open Whisper.
3. Manage devices
See every activated device in your account. Remove one to free its place.
4. Renew once a year
We remind you 30 days before the end. Renewal keeps the same key. Nothing renews by itself.
What your security team will ask
- Transcription runs on the device. Audio and text are not uploaded.
- No subprocessors in the transcription path.
- Network use: model download, license check and optional update check. All can be blocked after setup.
- Standard installers: DMG, MSI with silent install, AppImage, deb, rpm.
Good to know before you buy
- No admin console and no SSO. Devices are managed in your account.
- One shared key for the team, not one key per person.
- No SOC 2 report or HIPAA certification. The architecture keeps data on the device instead.
- macOS needs Apple Silicon. Windows 10 and 11 and Linux (Ubuntu 22.04+) are supported.

Team license questions
Is this a subscription?+
No. One payment covers 12 months. Nothing renews or charges your card by itself. We email you 30 days before the end, and you decide whether to renew.
What happens after 12 months?+
Whisper stops working until you renew. Renewal costs the same per device, keeps the same key on every device, and adds 12 months to the current end date, so renewing early loses no days.
Can we add devices later?+
Yes. Add devices from your account at $15 each. They run until your license's current end date, and the key stays the same.
Do we get an invoice with our VAT ID?+
Yes. Stripe checkout asks for your company name, billing address and VAT ID, and emails an invoice. For a purchase order or bank transfer, use the contact form.
What if a teammate leaves or gets a new laptop?+
Remove the old device in your account. The place is free at once, and the new laptop can activate with the same key.

Does any audio leave our devices?+
No. Transcription runs on each device. Only the license key is checked with our server. Optional AI post-processing can use a cloud provider, but only if someone turns it on.
