Whisper activates with a per-machine license key. There's no per-user cloud account to create and no admin portal to manage — you distribute keys to machines with the same tooling that pushes the installer.

Can I deploy Whisper silently and at scale?
Yes. Whisper ships as standard installers you can push through your existing software-distribution tooling. On Windows the MSI installs unattended with the normal msiexec flags (msiexec /i Whisper_x64.msi /quiet), and the NSIS .exe installer accepts the silent /S flag. macOS ships a DMG and Linux ships AppImage/deb/rpm, so you use the same deployment workflow you already run for other desktop apps — no special packaging from us required.
Do you have a management console or admin portal?
No, and that's deliberate. Whisper is a self-contained desktop app — there is no cloud admin console to stand up, no server to host, and no per-user portal to administer. You manage it exactly like any other installed application, using the MDM or software-distribution tooling you already own.
Does Whisper need cloud accounts for each user?
No. Whisper activates with a per-machine license key. There is no per-user cloud account, no single sign-on to wire up, and no directory to sync. That means nothing to provision or de-provision in a separate system when people join or leave.
How does activation work?
Each machine activates once with a license key, which verifies the purchase. No audio, transcripts, or document content is ever sent — only the key. After activation the app runs fully offline. For teams that cannot allow any outbound activation call at all, contact us about offline activation.
Can it run offline or in an air-gapped environment?
After activation, yes — transcription runs entirely on-device and needs no internet.
